BC NDP Campaign 2024

CREATIVE DIRECTION & DESIGN

In fall 2024, the BC NDP was going into our seventh year in government and working to secure an unprecedented third mandate. As in 2020, I had the honour of leading our creative team.

My feisty and mighty department of seven people was responsible for the look and feel of the election brand, as well as executing print and digital products for the central campaign and all 93 candidate campaigns.

Our creative used rich, saturated gradients, clear typography and bold graphic elements to set our materials apart from those of our opponents. Photography focused on visuals of real BC voters in their homes and communities, not stock photography.

To maximize accessibility, we created materials in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Punjabi, Korean, Tagalog and Urdu.

In total this team produced 1,600 individual products, and helped distribute more than 4 million printed pieces of campaign literature across the province - from lawns to mailboxes, to the front pages of local newspapers.

Once all the votes were counted, the BC NDP won 47 seats in the British Columbia legislature and a record third term in government.
